Brass Solid Rods

Apart from the good machinability, corrosion resistance, higher strength properties, brass rods have other added benefits over S.S. and Aluminum rods.

Some low tolerance components can be much cheaper than Aluminum or S.S. The swarf resulting of the machining of Brass rods gives fine small chips which are easier to clean and it reduces machine tool scour and use of cooling lubrication, whereas aluminum give a constant buildup of swarfing when machining resulting in faster tool wearing. S.S. products can be two to five times more expensive than similar item made in brass.

Brass rods are good replacement of plastic tap-tops which are constantly susceptible to stress crackings and failure. Brass can be hot stamped, polish and plated means that modern designs of brass are available with lifetime expectancy equal to other material.

Brass Extruded Rods can be customized in various shapes like Round, Hex and Squares etc. which are available for wide variety of engineering applications.
